Western Wear isn’t just for Cowboys!
The idea that there were actually people who dressed like cowboys on a dialy basis completely escaped me as a kid. I thought it was just something for amusement, that is until my dad took me to my first rodeo. Once the rodeo actually began, I was blown away. To a boy, there is nothing more magnificent than a rodeo. All those big tough men using nothing but their might and bravery to conquer bucking broncos, charging steers, and all the rest – it was the stuff dreams are made of! It was so fantastic, it might as well have been a medieval tournament. I was immediately hooked. The very next day, I asked my dad to take me to buy some cowboy western wear. Ever since then, I’ve had some form of western wear in my closet. My current favorite is a simple Carhartt Santa Fe jacket, which is soft and warm on the inside, but tough-as-nails on the outside.
