What Do the US Tax Brackets of 2011 Look Like Globally?

Each year the income tax brackets are adjusted along with the standard deductions amount and marginal tax rates based on inflation changes.

Although the numbers aren’t exact yet, here is a good view of how the 2011 federal income tax brackets may appear if you are married filing jointly:

  • $17,000 and under- If you are in this income bracket, you will be taxed at about 10%……

One of the important things to understand about us tax brackets is that you are only taxed a certain percentage for the money you make in each bracket.

This may seem unclear at first, but here’s an example: Fred makes $80,000 a year and is due for a small raise that will bring him up to $85,000 a year.
